Some of the pieces don’t fit together especially well leading to some extremely noticeable seam lines that are overly obvious on the legs. The other spot was the head, I couldn’t get the back plate to go on for a solid 5 minutes, but I am unsure if that was due to my own ineptitude or a genuine issue with the kit. There are only a few spots I can really complain the first is the internal components of the shoulders, which refused to fit together with out a tiny bit of trimming on my part and when I finally did manage to get them together my fingers were sore from the effort of it. There were a total of about 10 stickers, they were all easy to put in place and seem to have stayed there, so I will give them a pass on this one. Pieces came off the runner easily and snapped together with no real issue. As I mentioned in my about me, this is a sort of therapy for me, and dang was this a smooth and really calm build. Sooooooooooo building, what I took too long to get to in this review meaning no one is probably reading at this point. As the Beard Bros always say “tight boys take their time.”(check them out on youtube, yes I am shilling for them ,idc) Even if you can’t read Japanese you will be fine as long as you pay attention. But I can’t say that is a bad thing, the instructions have nice detailed images that make what you need to do very clear. The instructions themselves are just as typical as everything else. On the back page there are some reference images along with information about the loadout included with the kit, some painting tips, a color guide, and an ad for more Build Fighters kits. I could check that but I am too lazy to take a picture of it to translate. Taking a look at the instructions you will find they are pretty standard, art and basic info about the mech and pilot on the front, parts list on the first page along with some Japanese text that I can only assume is some sort of proof of purchase. Beyond that there is your standard white which is really the base color of the kit, 2 green beam saber blades that are really unique compared to pink which is all I have had up until now, and some green/yellow stickers that are used for detailing. The main colors you are getting here are a bright opaque red and a translucent orange that look really good next to each other. They are bright and vibrant on the runner and if you are looking for something flashy, right out of the box you can tell that is what you are getting. The first thing that will pop out at you are the colors. I quickly remove the plastic from the box and pull it open. Slightly smaller and offset to the left is Honoo in flight mode, or “phoenix mode” I don’t know if that name is canon but I like it so that is how I will refer to it from now on.īut we all know we are not here for boxes, well most of us anyway, if you are here for the boxes then you do you booboo. Back on track, Honoo is wielding its flame swords and holding them out defensively staring you right in the face. well not center, more like slightly off to the right but that is for good reason. I pulled it out and the first thing I notice is the box, the art on gunpla boxes tends to get me hype for my kits but this was just above and beyond. I carried my score down the stairs and tore open the amazon box trying to get at this thing as fast as I could. I have been waiting for this kit for about a week now so when I woke up this morning and read that it had been delivered I popped right up and rushed upstairs to get it. Today’s review will be on the HGBF Wing Gundam Zero Honoo. Whoa, hey, look at that… A post on my blog… That has been up for days with no content… Well hey I am here now so lets do something about that, shall we?
